Domains often receive bogus renewal notices from third parties hoping to get your money. (They don't seem to care if they get your business -- they are much more interested in collecting the payment than actually offering domain services - in extreme cases the fine print says that they don't actually do any renewing.)

These messages all try to look official, and try to install a panic in you to renew. It is generally best to ignore these.
