Domain Extras - there are two features you might want to buy with your domain.

• Privacy:  All this really means is that the general public cannot see the name and address you gave when you registered the domain. This option is generally a needless extra cost because you may have your name and address on your website, and there is no real protection as governmental agencies and those interested in litigation often can still get this information.  This feature is part of the domain and must be purchased from the domain supplier.

• Email: Paid HotDoodle offers emal services, but you do not have to get them from us. If you prefer to get email services through the domain vender then just be sure to configure things "the hard way" and that the "MX" record and mail.yourdomain.com "A" record refers to their email server. Domain Configuration Time

If the domain has name servers that already point to HotDoodle, HotDoodle will start resolving your domain to your site within an hour. This is the time it takes the web server to absorb the new association between your domain and your site.

If the domain uses HotDoodle nameservers but this is the first time you have told HotDoodle about the domain it can take 1 to 3 days for the updates in HotDoodle's domain name to be propagated over the internet.

If the domain does not refer to HotDoodle and does not use HotDoodle domain name servers, then you need to make it do so.
